A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Ecologist to join a renowned multidisciplinary group, seeking to expand its small but thriving Ecology team.

What you'll be doing:
Designing and managing ecological surveys and associated mitigation strategies
Undertaking extended phase 1 habitat surveys, UK Habitat Classification surveys, phase 2 and protected species surveys
Producing and reviewing a range of reports
Liaising with clients, professional advisors, contractors and the general public.
Building and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors and other third parties
Project Management
Mentoring and guiding junior members of the team

To apply for this role you will need:
4+ years post-graduate experience in UK ecological consultancy
Bachelors degree in a relevant subject and Associate membership of CIEEM or higher
Strong field skills covering a range of protected species and habitats, ideally with at least one survey license or working towards
Knowledge of BREEAM, Defra Biodiversity Metric, and UK Habitat Classification with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and planning policy
Experience writing fee proposals, managing projects and liaising with clients
Excellent report writing skills / experience (including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and Ecological Impact Assessments)
Full UK manual driving license
Eligibility to live and work in the UK
